To adjust the color pallette setting in Microsoft Windows:
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Note:
If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Display.
3. Click the Settings tab.
4. In the Color Palette or Colors box, click 256 Colors.  (Note: if you see High Color or True Color click it instead.)
5. Click OK.  If you are prompted to restart your computer, do so.
6. Close Control Panel.
